Editing made sense to me in a way that felt intrinsic, and after twenty-plus years, it still does.
I started in southern Oregon in 2002, cutting commercials, music videos, and documentaries back when delivery meant printing to tape. Independent features followed, including Black Road, my first as lead editor, then a decade inside Microsoft Studios, often cutting with clients and executives in the room.
Along the way, a few beliefs took hold.
     • An organized project moves fast and hands off clean.
     • Notes aren't personal; they're how good work gets better.
     • Collaboration is what elevates a cut from finished to memorable.
The craft is mine, but the work is ours.
